NHS Health Checks

MoreLife offers FREE* NHS Health Checks for people who are aged 40 to 75 and do not have any pre-existing conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes and high blood pressure  

Our friendly team will ask you some questions about your lifestyle and family history, measure your height and weight, take your blood pressure and do a blood test.

What is an NHS Health Check?

It’s a FREE* check-up of your overall health. It can help tell you if you’re at a higher risk of getting certain health problems such as: 

  • Heart Disease 
  • Diabetes 
  • Kidney Disease 
  • Stroke 

How do I get my results?

You’ll be told your results during your appointment. 

Our friendly practitioners will provide you with a cardiovascular risk score, which is an estimate of how likely you are to get heart disease or have a stroke in the next 10 years. 

The higher the risk score, the more likely are to develop one of these illnesses, but do not worry – you will also be given supportive and effective lifestyle advice about how to: 

  • Improve your diet 
  • Increase the amount of exercise you do 
  • Lose weight 
  • Stop Smoking 

You may also be referred to one of our other services, such as stop smoking or physical activity.
