About Professor Paul Gately
Founder and driver of MoreLife, Paul has an unshakable passion to support those who struggle with their weight, to better their own lives by making small, achievable changes.
As an expert in physical activity and nutrition, Paul has the professional credibility to understand the complex needs of obesity; but it is his personal commitment to the families and individuals that experience a MoreLife programme that make him inspirational.
“Traditional solutions seem to completely ignore why people overeat or are inactive. A long time ago I decided that there must be a better way and today our results speak for themselves. I am extremely proud of every person who comes to us having made the decision now is the time for action. My team and I work for every individual that attends a MoreLife programme and we are constantly searching for information and conducting regular research to ensure we deliver the best programmes possible that result in lasting change.”
Paul’s mission is to raise awareness and inspire action that tackles the global problem of obesity, especially childhood obesity. He has presented a number of television programmes to help increase public awareness on the subject and is a regular contributor on radio, television and commenter in the printed media.
Paul contributed to the International Obesity Task Force / World Health Organisation’s report on childhood obesity, and continues to be a consultant to many government agencies, health organisations and corporations throughout the UK and internationally.
If starting a fight with the world’s obesity problem wasn't enough, Paul is also a father of five children!
