Alistair is an experienced healthcare professional and senior director. He has spent almost 20 years in healthcare primarily in elderly care but also in learning disabilities and specialist care. He is currently CEO of an elderly care start up business and non-executive director of a mental health software application business. Prior to that he had a long career in commercial marketing and development roles for Kodak, KPMG, Reuters, ICI and Boots.
His non-executive roles span almost 10 years with both charity, not for profit and commercial organisations. He was a trustee for NAPA, a charity for improving activities for older people, and spent 5 years as a non-executive director for Your Housing Group, a large housing association.
He is an alumnus of the University of Southampton, the University of Warwick (MBA), and the Wharton School (University of Philadelphia). He also completed his Institute of Directors training at Leeds Beckett University.
His main interest in MoreLife stems from being able to influence and grow a business which provides healthcare breakthroughs, and which can genuinely create better outcomes for both individuals and society. The close link with Leeds Beckett University provides an exciting insight into leading edge research, plus the chance to put one of the leading northern universities on the map.
Outside of work Alistair has a busy family life and enjoys cycling, travelling and running the local scouts. He lives in Harrogate but travels extensively around the UK.
