Family Clubs

Eat well, move more, live longer.

Our successful MoreLife Clubs have been adopted by Local Authorities around the country to deliver family weight management services to local communities and are free to those families who attend.

The whole-family approach of MoreLife Clubs allows our families to address their health and lifestyle behaviours as a team. Clubs are delivered by MoreLife specialists over 10 or 12 weeks and are available, typically, to young people between 4 and 17 years old.

Space


Family Clubs


Each Family Club session is two hours long and is divided into two parts, a one-hour Lifestyle Session and a one-hour Physical Activity Session.

At the end of each session we will help you set a goal that you can work on as part of your journey to getting healthier.

During the Family Club each eligible Clubber will receive a range of goodies including:

  • Family & Clubber's Handbook
  • A t-shirt
  • A water bottle
  • A pedometer
  • A rucksack

Lifestyle Sessions


In the Lifestyle Sessions you will learn about how to make positive food choices such as eating plenty of fruit and vegetables and how to develop healthy lifestyle habits such as walking to school instead of taking the bus or car. Our Lifestyle Sessions are designed to be interactive, hands on and most importantly, fun!

Physical Activity Sessions


Physical Activity Sessions involve a range of activities such as crazy cricket, dodgeball and rounders. Both parents and clubbers participate in these sessions which are full of energy, laughter and team spirit.

Parents On Club


Parents take part in their own workshops and activities at the same time as the children’s sessions. We provide the tools and knowledge to kick-start and maintain a healthy lifestyle outside of Clubs. MoreLife Clubs have been developed to provide a supportive environment where parents can ask questions and learn how to keep their family healthy.

Parents' sessions include physical activities too. We introduce exercise philosophies that make it easy to understand how exercise can be added to everyday routines. Parents/guardians will also learn about eating habits and have access to lifestyle advice. We want to help parents to help their children. In fact, following the programme, many parents lose weight too!

Support


All young people on our programmes receive three months of follow-up support via phone, text and email, as well as lifetime access to our members’ website. The members' site is a great way to monitor progress both during and after Clubs. It also contains access to helpful resources and allows social networking with other fellow Club members.
